Troublemaker...

I have been mildly obsessed with this song for the last couple of days! I dance around in the car without shame! :)

Anyway, today I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and wear a skirt! And of course, today would be mildly windy. Isn't that just always the way? 

 So while it was nice outside, the wind did make it a bit chilly. Hence the jacket. I love this jacket! It's fitted and also has a hood! The nice part is that the hood is detachable. It looks like I layered a jacket underneath but without the added thickness and restraint of a jacket.

 

In rejoicing of the pleasant weather, I decided to use this mint floral skirt from Charlotte Russe. At first I was planning on wearing a simply tee over the skirt but while digging through my tops I found this loose top from Target! This top was definitely one of my favorites last summer, and I have a feeling it's going to be a signature piece for me again this year! I added a pop of color with yellow shoes! Half because I liked how they elongated my legs, half because I literally have no other spring-like shoes in my apartment closet! 

 

Yay for pastels! I'm wearing Fiji by Essie. I also seriously am loving the details of this skirt too! I feel like a rose bush! Wait? What??? :P Hope you are all having a glorious week!

Neon and Men's Cologne...

Fun title, neh?

Well in good ol' Missouri weather, today we have beautiful skies and springtime weather. How long will it last I wonder? But rather than wonder, I'm simply going to enjoy the time I have left with this gorgeous temperature!

So what do I wear when I am feeling happy? Brights! Naturally! Neons to be exact. My outfit today, the t-shirt and the button up, were picked out for me by two, get this, MALE friends! I must say, I am quite enamored with this outfit though. :) They have pretty good taste. 

Today has definitely been lovely. On top of wonderful weather, I am officially going to Oregon over spring break, I had a workout that will leave me sore tomorrow, and I got to watch My Little Pony with one of my best friends! Which, by the by, is were the "Men's Cologne" part of my title comes from. I swear I love men's cologne. If I could, I would buy and wear it myself! However, since that is not socially acceptable, I am left to enjoy it when hanging out with my guy friends. A cross I gladly bear. ;)

Lazy Day...

Ah Saturdays... sleeping in, lounging, cleaning, errands, working, shopping, road tripping, adventures! The possibilities for Saturdays are endless.

Well, if you belong to my family, Saturdays usually mean one of two things, staying home and cleaning the house, top to bottom OR going off an adventure (usually shopping) with my family. But as of late, I have been working Saturdays- the only day a week I work.

 Since I brought one of my best friends home this weekend, Saturday consisted of sleeping in then cleaning here and there. If I were the type of person to wear sweatpants passed noon I would have worn them all day. But since I am not, I chose to wear what I think of as comfy lounge clothes- leggings and loose shirts!

The floral chambrey top and black leggings are from Body Central. I had to steal a white cami from my younger sister since I forgot mine! 

I definitely do not think today was all too productive. And right after these pictures were taken I pulled my hair back in a pony tail and played Just Dance. haha

Only in Missouri...

Okay, so I was definitely wearing capris Tuesday.

For those of you who don't know how Missouri weather works, consider yourself lucky! This week alone, it has been between 20 degrees and 70 degrees. If you think that messes with one's sinuses... you would be CORRECT.

Anyway! I've already messed up my new year's resolution to blog more... but I've gotten into a routine now, so hopefully I can start things up again. (She says for the 15 millionth time!) Since I only have one class twice a week on campus I have a TON of downtime at home.

By the by, I moved in with a friend! So I'm not all alone anymore! haha

So with all this downtime, I have plenty of time to get ready in the morning. Funny thing, I still get up at 8 even though I have nowhere to go!

I actually love this outfit! I bought the shirt at Body Central this passed weekend and the sweater is from JC Penny. 

Yay for mixing patterns!! 

Boots were gifted from my Mama! :)

 

Call Me Maybe?

So while I love all the new tech we are blessed with in 2013, I can't help but remember with fondness my early years in school when I would get so excited when a friend would call! I also never lost the phone. It was always in the same place. And I don't know about you, but I used to have too much fun seeing how many times I could wrap the cord around my finger (yes, I was easily amused.)! 

So when I saw this cute little phone plug from Forever 21, I had to get it! AND IT WAS PINK!!! 

I also got the Carly Rae Jepson CD for Christmas and I'm kind of obsessed. :) So anyways, call me maybe? ;)

Happy New Year! I know I haven't blogged in FOREVER... My excuses!

• Just graduated college
• About to start grad school
• Started a new job
• Going to be moving
• Been busy with my photography business
• And just your random Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years busyness! 

But since I'm going to be having somewhat more time, AND I GOT A TRIPOD, I'm hoping to be blogging more regularly! So onward into the new year! :)

Now, for today's OoTD, my father gets home (I'm living at home for winter break) and looks at me and says, "Wow, you look nice. Did you go anywhere today?" Later my mother returns home and says, "Well don't we look nice today." WHAT IN THE WORLD!!! I promise I haven't been neglecting fashion just because I haven't been blogging!

FFC: Day 3

Today's outfit features two cute little friends of mine! My owl ring, Hortance, and my owl necklace Gerard! (Yes, I name any jewelry that has faces!) 

Let me tell you why I LOVE jewelry from Body Central. 

1. It is fabulous! They have such a wide variety! From  chic night life, causal, and dressy, to cute, dainty, and feminine! They literally have hundreds of pieces to choose from! 
2. Like all Body Central products, they are are excellent quality! Not thin or flimsy, and they last! The pieces featured below I have had for a year or two! 
3. And finally, your wallet will not go hungry! Generally, prices do not exceed 5 dollars, however, most of the time I go in all jewelry is on sale for 3.99! I even got Hortance on sale for .99! 

Not going to lie, I loved my outfit today! I am in love with this Chambray for JC Penny! It goes perfect with the polka dotted body con skirt also from JC Penny! 

The devils in the details! And these details are too legit to quit! ;P Yes, I went there... :)

This belt came with some shorts I got this summer. It cinches in my waist for a more polished look! 

In case you are wondering, I am indeed on a step stool! 

And one final touch! October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and so I will be wearing this pin! I will also be participating in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K walk! 

It's time women fight for women! You can help create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays! <3
