Only in Missouri...

Okay, so I was definitely wearing capris Tuesday.

For those of you who don't know how Missouri weather works, consider yourself lucky! This week alone, it has been between 20 degrees and 70 degrees. If you think that messes with one's sinuses... you would be CORRECT.

Anyway! I've already messed up my new year's resolution to blog more... but I've gotten into a routine now, so hopefully I can start things up again. (She says for the 15 millionth time!) Since I only have one class twice a week on campus I have a TON of downtime at home.

By the by, I moved in with a friend! So I'm not all alone anymore! haha

So with all this downtime, I have plenty of time to get ready in the morning. Funny thing, I still get up at 8 even though I have nowhere to go!

I actually love this outfit! I bought the shirt at Body Central this passed weekend and the sweater is from JC Penny. 

Yay for mixing patterns!!

Call Me Maybe?

So while I love all the new tech we are blessed with in 2013, I can't help but remember with fondness my early years in school when I would get so excited when a friend would call! I also never lost the phone. It was always in the same place. And I don't know about you, but I used to have too much fun seeing how many times I could wrap the cord around my finger (yes, I was easily amused.)! 

So when I saw this cute little phone plug from Forever 21, I had to get it! AND IT WAS PINK!!! 

I also got the Carly Rae Jepson CD for Christmas and I'm kind of obsessed. :) So anyways, call me maybe? ;)

Happy New Year! I know I haven't blogged in FOREVER... My excuses!

• Just graduated college
• About to start grad school
• Started a new job
• Going to be moving
• Been busy with my photography business
• And just your random Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years busyness! 

But since I'm going to be having somewhat more time, AND I GOT A TRIPOD, I'm hoping to be blogging more regularly! So onward into the new year! :)

Now, for today's OoTD, my father gets home (I'm living at home for winter break) and looks at me and says, "Wow, you look nice. Did you go anywhere today?" Later my mother returns home and says, "Well don't we look nice today." WHAT IN THE WORLD!!! I promise I haven't been neglecting fashion just because I haven't been blogging!

FFC: Day 3

Today's outfit features two cute little friends of mine! My owl ring, Hortance, and my owl necklace Gerard! (Yes, I name any jewelry that has faces!) 

Let me tell you why I LOVE jewelry from Body Central. 

1. It is fabulous! They have such a wide variety! From  chic night life, causal, and dressy, to cute, dainty, and feminine! They literally have hundreds of pieces to choose from! 
2. Like all Body Central products, they are are excellent quality! Not thin or flimsy, and they last! The pieces featured below I have had for a year or two! 
3. And finally, your wallet will not go hungry! Generally, prices do not exceed 5 dollars, however, most of the time I go in all jewelry is on sale for 3.99! I even got Hortance on sale for .99! 

Not going to lie, I loved my outfit today! I am in love with this Chambray for JC Penny! It goes perfect with the polka dotted body con skirt also from JC Penny! 

The devils in the details! And these details are too legit to quit! ;P Yes, I went there... :)

This belt came with some shorts I got this summer. It cinches in my waist for a more polished look! 

In case you are wondering, I am indeed on a step stool! 

And one final touch! October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and so I will be wearing this pin! I will also be participating in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K walk! 

It's time women fight for women! You can help create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays! <3

Fashion Feature Challenge: Day 2

Okay, so I just spammed your blog feed! Sorry! But I must catch up! In case you did not see my previous post, I am doing a fashion challenge! It is to pick a brand or store and wear at least one piece each day for the month of October. I chose Body Central!

On to today's outfit! I've worn and blogged this outfit- a summer version- before.

I love this Body Central top! It is loose and light, which is perfect for hot days. This piece goes perfectly from summer to fall, as well! Typically during the summer, I wear this top without a cami. Nothing wrong with showing a little extra skin! Because the sleeve openings are larger, I do wear a bandeau so as not to show my bra. Since today was chilly, I threw on a cami from Forever 21 under it. I think it goes well together! I really do love muted colors. :)

On a side note, here is a mini haul! I went to Walgreens and picked up a few tidbits... ;)

Okay, so I have been MIA for so long! There are a number of reasons- final semester of college, graduate classes, and a personal crisis. I won't go into the details of any of them. But I am on the mend and so I feel I need to restart my life! Blogging and all! And to encourage this I am going to be having a mini-series! Please look forward to....

Fashion Feature Challenge: October! Featuring Body Central!

The premise of this and other blog posts during the month of October will be to feature at least one Body Central item each day. That's right! Lil Miss Latina is going to blog everyday! Or at least try.... ;)

So, while I am tripod-less, I probably won't be actually posting photos while wearing the outfits... I'm going to try and figure out a way to take pictures sans tripod and my usual photographer, my sister, but till then it will probably just be an overview of the outfit. Sorry!

Nail polish: Sinful Colors- Rain Storm

I took several pictures so you could really see the color. They are a dark brown and oh so comfy! You will definitely be seeing these throughout the month! I've worn them with so many outfits already! The sizing is also very typical to most shoes. I'm a size 7 in most shoes, and am here as well. The quality of the boots is very well done. Sometimes it's hard to find reasonably priced boots that are good quality, especially, when they are from a retailer who does not specialize in shoes,but these are just fab! They also had them in several other colors which I was tempted to splurge on.. all in due time I say! :)

While I wrote this post last night, my internet went out and I could not post it until today. Sorry! 

Boys and Their Toys....

Scratch that! This is a FASHION blog!

Firstly, my apologies for my, what seems like forever, absence! I was going through a slight personal crisis, but, praise the Lord, oh my soulllllll...! I am all good now! :)

To start off my blog, I would like to note that, THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAD TO WRITE THIS. Darn, blogger not understanding that by backspace, I meant the letter and not the page! Does that ever happen to anyone else? :( Why do I never learn to save?!

Okay, now, on to the actual topic of this post. Guys wearing scarves. Believe it or not, there is actually a debate going on as I type, as to whether or not men should wear scarves. Now, we are all fashionistas here, and I would imagine all quite open to the ever evolving world of fashion and what it presents to us. However, I live in the Midwest. For those of you who do not know, we are not the go-to destination for anything fashion-related. 

I assume most of my readers are fairly open-minded when it comes to trends, alas, where I live people seem to be absolutely completely ridiculously  a bit close-minded when it comes to fashion. The ombre trend didn't even make much of an appearance! In hair or clothing! Which I think is sad, since its so cute! 

However, I digress. One of my friends on Facebook posted asking if people thought men should wear scarves- yay or nay? An absolutely overwhelming majority replied- NO! Well, let me just give you a few reasons why I say, HECK YES!

I could pretty much JUST leave this picture and I'd win the debate. BOOM. David Beckham is a huge fan of scarves!

So this one isn't even fair. Asians look cute in anything! *jealous* Isn't he adorable?!

So now I post the same question- Guys in scarves? Yes? Or no? And not just in the winter time!
