I Believe...

She can save the world...

Okay, so back in the day (back in the day being about 2 years ago) I was VERY into Avatar: The Last Airbender. And no, it had no large blue sea monkeys in it.

Anyways, Avatar: TLA ended and I and many fans were sad. :(  However, we later received news that a sequel would be made! :D This series would take place after the passing of the current avatar, Aang, and would focus on the next avatar- Korra.

The Legend of Korra is currently on its 7th episode, and..... I LOVE IT!!!

The story line is brilliant, the characters are excellent, the animation is incredible, and best of all.... my boyfriend looks like Mako! <3 haha (of course, I had to add that in there!)

Back to my point, I am a fan of costume roleplay. I have quite a few friends who are AMAZING at it, and I have been wanting to try my hand at it. I just hadn't found a character that really tickled my fancy. Till now...

Currently in the series, Asami is dating Mako, and she seems to be the perfect girl- rich, beautiful, and into Pro-bending, the sport Mako plays, as well as, the most stylish character thus far. Many viewers are speculating that she may be a spy for the antagonist of the show, Amon. It is a theory. I can't say yet, whether I think this or not. I do think she has hidden motives for being so chummy with Mako, but one never does know I suppose...

Want to know something funny? I'm not even that fond of the character! She kind of gets on my nerves! Especially here!

Anyways, I'll let you all resume your regularly scheduled lives. Have any of you watched LoK? If you haven't, I recommend you do so! It's not just a kid's show! ;) You can watch full episodes at Korra Nation!

Keep Calm...

It's Almost Summer!!! :)

It's true! For myself, it is finals week. *sigh* And after finals, I am taking two summer classes. :/ But I can't complain. One is an intersession course which is only 3 weeks long and the second is a mixed class of in-class sessions and over the internet work. So I won't be stuck in a classroom ALL summer...! haha

So on to the subject of this post- SUMMER TIME!!!

Yes, as summer approaches I start wanting to eat healthier, wear brighter colors, and exercise more. So here are a few pictures I've collective from recently!

What's your favorite part of summer?

Okay, so not the healthiest thing... But the bright colors and tropical taste makes me happy! :)

I LOVE this top! Its loose and sheer. Can be worn down or tied in the front to create a high-low illusion!

This is a bright fuchsia color! Its so happy! Boom Boom by Sinful Colors polka dotted with Fiji by Essie.

Went to a small all-natural  cafe for lunch with a friend. It was SO cute! The soup is chilled pineapple and strawberry soup! Ate the salad with peanut butter salad dressing! It was interesting to say the least!

My lunch today! Salad with shredded chicken and  cheese! Om nom nom! <3 I've also been kind of in love with apple juice... :)

Oh! Did anyone notice the new layout? I think I've been watching a bit too much Sherlock... :P Also, on instagram??? Let's be friends! Follow me- littlemisslatina :)

By the Sea, By the Sea...

By the beautiful Sea! Oh how happy we'll be! :)

So on a recent excursion to the mall- I swear I do NOT go everyday!- I passed by JC Penny and couldn't help but be struck by the bombardment of a certain color... AQUA!!!

I was very excited because I LOVE this color! I then browsed Maurice's only to find that aqua was lining their walls and displays, as well! I love all the bright colors for summer, but aqua is just so happy! It reminds me of the seaside! <3 You know, with as much as I love the color, I really don't have much aqua colored items... I should fix that soon? ;)

Aqua Fresh!
What colors are you loving this season? Orange? Neons?

Come at once if convenient...

If inconvenient, come anyway.

Recently, I have been infatuated with the TV series, Sherlock of BBC. It's so good!!!

Ahem, anyway! Today I decided to dress up like John Watson! In one episode, he has a striped sweater on and looked adorable! So, on a recent trip to the mall (my intention was just to look!- as if that would ever work!) I wandered into Forever21. I was doing a wonderful job simply browsing until... I went to the back of the store!

SALE

Yes... I would find a sale. Again I just browsed but then, this sweater jumped out at me! My immediate thought went to John and I snagged it! The rest is self-explanatory. And since the sale was Buy One Sale Item, Get the Second FREE- I purchased a nice waist-length Pea Coat. I tried it on for my sister and she was quite jealous. :) I also purchased a necklace and earrings to match my "John Inspired Outfit"!

A closer look at my outfit! :)

If You're Reading This...

Please make sure I'm following you! :)

I believe I went through and followed everyone I could, but I had some trouble following others... So if you are following me, but I'm not following you, please leave a comment with a link to your blog and I'll gladly follow you! :) I'm loving all the new blogs I'm reading! I've been so out of the fashion blogosphere for so long! :/ So let me break it down as to why I have been totally MIA.

*School: Thank goodness its almost out! I'm in the last semester of my junior year and I'll be graduating this December, and let me tell ya, I'm starting to feel STRESSED!!! I have two Spanish classes that are taking over my life, a PR class that has so many presentations I'm sick of seeing PowerPoint and Prezi, and a Journalism class that has me learning more than I EVER wanted to know about horse slaughtering! But, summer is quickly on its way!

*Other Obligations: By this I mean, my non-school related activities! For example, my Children's Church class is only once a week, but I pretty much have to start planning it several days in advance. And if we do a particularly "difficult" (difficult being the boys definition of time consuming.) craft it can take several hours to prepare. Another exciting happening in my life is the launch of American(a) Neweva! A non-profit company my best friend, Frances Advincula, and I started this past month that helps empower minority women! *insert shameless advertising here*

*Lack of Tripod: Yes, I am actually blaming my lack of OOtD posts on my lack of a tripod. Usually my sister takes my narcissistic fashion pictures, however, living on my own makes it much more challenging... But I'm planning on investing in one this summer, so Outfit of the Day posts will be returning!

Anyway! Now that I have sufficiently bored you... Congrats if you made it to the bottom of this post! :D Here are some quick pictures to show I have not let my fashion slack! Unlike my posts... :)

During our Children's Church Easter Program! The kids did a great job! :)

I'm still loving the jean on jean trend! Can you tell! :)

What My Life Has Become...

Nothing but school and homework!

So, I have been COMPLETELY MIA lately. I blame school!, as stated above. I can't believe I am currently on Spring Break. Where has the semester gone? And what's more, what has this good little fashionista been doing? HOMEWORK.

Disgusting...

But I shall not fill this post with my woes. Nope! Instead, I'm going to give you a sneak peak at my newly remodeled bedroom! Just a few pictures I played with while taking a break from homework! (Because, quite frankly, I'm about to pull out my hair!) Anyway, enjoy some these sneak peaks! Eventually I'll do a room tour for my beauty channel! Eventually... ;)

And people thought my closet was going to be solely for clothes...

My room theme is Audrey Hepburn meets Fleur de Lis!

Leap For Joy!

Okay, so it's a day late...

So they say that whatever you do on the first day of the year, you will end up doing the rest of the year. I wonder if that works on Leap Day...?

Well, regardless, yesterday everyone kept saying, posting, tweeting- "Don't waste your leap day!" I am happy to report, I did not. :) While I had class... :/ After class I had a splendid time with friends!

Highlights of my Leap Day 2012

Had lunch at home with my friend, Mary. She snagged these cute little Tabascos from a guest speaker!

After class Mary, my other friend Tabitha, and I grabbed Froyo at a local joint! SO GOOD

Afterwards Tabitha and I went over to Mary's apartment and Tabitha made chicken and dumplings! Needless to say, my Leap Day was full of deliciousness! :)

While the dumplings were cooking, we decided to play Life! I had not played in so long! Yes, that is my car. And that is my... husband. :P

After dinner we played the game Hard A$$. By now, yet another friend, Tessa, had joined us. Oh the fun we had! If you have not played that game, I suggest you invest in it! It will lead to many inside jokes and one heck of a good time!

We rounded out the night watching, my personal favorite Miyazaki movie, Howl's Moving Castle. Adding our own commentary the entire way through.

So just in case there is some chance that "whatever you do on Leap Day you will do the next four years", I think I am okay with that. :)

So, did you do anything special on Leap Day?
